Frequently Asked Questions

Upon request, we will provide a box of hand-selected foods that require no cooking or other preparation. This may be very helpful for those without access to a kitchen.  Please let us know when you check in, if you would like a “no-cook” box.

We are open every Friday, including holidays, from 8:30 am to noon. We close at 12:00 sharp and cannot distribute food to anyone who isn’t in line by 12:00.
You don’t need to provide any documents.

No, you just need to come on Friday morning between 8:30 and 12:00 noon.  Some people arrive and get in line before 8:30, which is fine.  But we do close the line at 12:00 sharp.

We are set up so you can choose from a wide variety of offerings each week, but since we rely on food donations, we cannot accommodate specific requests.  We make every effort to stock our line with fresh fruits and vegetables, meat or other protein sources, breads, grains, canned goods, cereal, and snacks.  We also often have milk or juice or other beverages, and sometimes a limited supply of personal toiletries, such as hand sanitizer.

Please bring a sturdy box or bags or some other means to carry your food home or to your car.  We have a very limited supply of boxes available, and cannot provide everyone with a box.

No, we ask that you park on the street (either Central Ave or 7th St) in a legal spot (not blocking anyone’s driveway) and get in line at the front of the food bank to check in.  If you are unable to carry your food back to your car, please ask and one of our volunteers can help with that.

You can come every week, but only once per week as we are only open on Fridays.
Our distribution is based on each household counting as one client.  If you are an official caregiver for another household, please let us know and in most circumstances you can pick up for the household for which you are a caregiver.
We are always in need of volunteers on Friday mornings  or you can donate food or donate money that go to support our continued operation in the community.
